New York, December 11, 2005 – The after party for Casanova’s premiere was off-limits to press, and Sienna Miller’s publicist told us why. While Jude Law skipped the red carpet antics at the theater, he was waiting for Sienna at the Metropolitan Club, the party venue. We did get to chat briefly with Sienna, and she was easygoing and quick to laugh – while coolly sidestepping reporters’ questions about her relationship. However, Casanova, the suave ladies’ man (in the movie) Heath Ledger, with baby-mama Michelle Williams, crankily avoided the press for the second time this week. But we still learned something about the elusive Mr. Ledger. Along with a new baby and a multi-million dollar house in Brooklyn, Heath owns two sport coats, two shirts, one tie, one sweater, and no iron. He wore the same tie and black sweater, but different rumpled shirts, to both his Brokeback Mountain premiere on Tuesday and the Casanova premiere on Sunday. Also frugal is actor William Moseley - despite starring in the weekend’s top box office draw, The Chronicles of Narnia, young Moseley insisted he wasn’t rushing out to buy a Rolls Royce, or even a diamond watch. Those Brits are so understated. Not so actor Justin Theroux, who ignored giant security guards, and stood on the red carpet smoking cigarettes and snapping photos of his buddy Charlie Cox, one of Casanova’s stars. |
