Los Angeles, November 11, 2005 – So there was Johnny Depp, the center of attention at the Arclight Theatre on Friday, at the AFI Film Festival screening of The Libertine. The event was a combination screening and tribute to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star. The Libertine has been nominated for several British Independent Film Awards, including a best actor nod for Depp, and costars John Malkovich and Samantha Morton cheered him on at the Hollywood debut.

This was a big week for Brits Rosamund Pike and Tom Hollander. Both appear in The Libertine, and their Pride & Prejudice took a bow, along with Keira Knightley's breast, on the east coast earlier in the week.
