New York, July 29 – Soho is always full of Europeans shopping, so why were folks lined up at the Adidas store on Friday watching a bunch of Italian guys all dressed alike? Thinking it might be a hot new boy band, we popped in to the store to find just about the entire A.C. Milan soccer team unveiling their 2005-06 shirt, and signing autographs for fans. The athletes did a semi-coordinated striptease, all wearing jackets and simultaneously removing them to reveal the red and black-striped jerseys. Unfortunately, the sexy guys did not remove any more layers of clothing. But we were advised that all of the shirts on the store’s first floor were already sold out, which was probably a concerted effort by besotted fans to buy the shirts right off the Milan players’ backs.
