New York, July
26 – Everybody really was a comedian at the New York premiere
of The Aristocrats, that dirty joke they made into a movie
that everyone now wants to see since some theater chains refused
to screen it. Andy Dick was more subdued than usual,
dancing with Jeffrey Ross, and shrinking from Gilbert
Gottfried’s embrace with the admonishment, “They’ll
think you’re my lover”. It turns out Dick was trying
to maintain decorum because his hot young date was his teenaged
son, Lucas. Penn Jillette surprised
us all, ably juggling bowling pins. Everyone was complimenting everyone
else’s work, and that was a lot of complimenting for a mid-summer
premiere. Bob Saget, Eddie Izzard,
Buck Henry, Freddie Roman, Judy
Gold, Tony Goldwyn, Bebe Neuwirth
and Adam Duritz (he’s not a comedian, but
his hair is hilarious) all braved the sweltering evening to hear
