Los Angeles, June 4 – The MTV Movie Awards show took place on Saturday night, to be aired on Thursday, June 9. Biggest story: Katie Holmes spoofed beau Tom Cruise’s bizarre Oprah antics by running backstage to bring him out. The pair drove up to the Shrine auditorium together on Cruise’s motorcycle. We wondered how Nicole Kidman would react to the lovebirds’ performance, but reportedly The Interpreter star, who presented an award, was whisked in and out without bumping into her ex-husband.

Jessica Simpson arrived with hubby Nick Lachey, but later joined her Dukes of Hazzard costars Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott in the press room to push the flick. Award winner Lindsay Lohan manically posed for photos with everyone she encountered, but ignored us when we told her to drive safely.
