Magazine Parties: Premiere outdoes E.W. with Newly-Blonde Topher Grace
Chris Noth was thrilled to be at EW's Must List party
Topher Grace was blonde at Premiere's New Power party
Adam Brody at Premiere party
Andre 3000 expected a hayride at Premiere party
Scarlett Johansson at Premiere's New Power party

June 15-16 – Does anyone read Premiere magazine these days? Does anyone actually read Entertainment Weekly? We can’t answer those questions, but we did attend both mags’ back-to-back parties this week, and while neither bash drew an Oscar-worthy crowd, Premiere definitely had the upper hand when it came to guests.

Premiere honored some hottish young Hollywoodites at their “New Power” party, and at least some of those types – Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson, Adam Brody and Kiera Chaplin – actually showed up. Topher Grace took a cue from Brad Pitt, and decided to let his inner blonde out. OutKast’s Andre 3000 was dressed for a hoedown..

Meanwhile, at Entertainment Weekly’s “Must List” party the next night in New York, the two biggest names, Hilary Duff and Kanye West, never showed, but Constantine Maroulis and Mario Vazquez did. Bam Margera was with his parents, so apparently he’s not angry with his dad for spreading tales about Bam’s allegedly getting it on with Jessica Simpson. One of Bam’s Viva la Bam cast mates told us that “nothing happened” when we asked about the Simpson scandal. Chris Noth, Fran Drescher, Liev Schreiber and Vanessa Carlton rounded out EW’s less than scorching guest list.
