Los Angeles, May 21 – KROQ’s Weenie Roast, a hot, sweaty, rocking music marathon got even hotter, sweatier and rocking in a different way once Tommy Lee arrived at the concert. Despite backstage buzz that Pamela Anderson would accompany Lee, the Motley Crue drummer had Tara Reid on his arm instead. Our source tells us that the pair went into a trailer behind the stage, and everyone was grinning sheepishly as the trailer soon began rocking so much, there was no mistaking what was going on inside. A bit later, the undoubtedly more relaxed Lee took to the stage for Motley Crue’s performance. It seemed that Crue lead singer Vince Neil had chosen some other way to relax pre-show, as he was stumbling around and didn’t know the words to his songs. The Mars Volta drew a lot of interest from the crowd and from other bands. A shirtless Jesse Metcalfe, the Desperate Housewives hunk, snuck into a press area near the stage for the Mars Volta set, but was kicked out by security. Sigh, here in Hollywood, everyone has a screenplay, apparently even the Mars Volta’s big-haired Cedric Bixler Zavala, who sat onstage pecking away on an old typewriter. Also roasting at the Weenie Roast were The Killers, Interpol, My Chemical Romance and Audioslave. |
