Los Angeles, May 24 – The premiere of skateboard drama Lords of Dogtown was one of the most star-studded we’ve seen in a while. A poor guy waited for Charlize Theron for over an hour, holding her tickets at a back door of the theater, with repeated assurances from her people that she was just “ten minutes away”. Long after the film had started, he found out that the Oscar winner was already inside, having marched straight through the front doors of Mann’s Chinese in Hollywood. Johnny Knoxville, who stars in Dogtown, was there, but Jessica Simpson was MIA. Ditto for Heath Ledger, who wouldn’t remove his sunglasses, his pregnant girlfriend, Michelle Williams, was nowhere in sight. Notorious ladies’ man Fred Durst kept smooching the cute girl on his arm, but there’s no new romance gossip; she’s his daughter Adriana. Brian Welch made his first public appearance at the premiere since leaving the band Korn after becoming a born-again Christian. We don’t know their romantic status, but Welch and fellow Christian Stephen Baldwin made a cute couple. We couldn’t help wondering if they were offended by Alexis Arquette, who was in drag, Bai Ling, who wore a bikini top and hooker-style red wig, and the profanity on Rumer Willis’s t-shirt: “F—k the paparazzi”, it said. Everyone of every persuasion was delighted by the skateboarding pooch who kept us entertained all evening. |
