Los Angeles, May 9 – It was a day too late for Mother’s Day here in the U.S., but in Beverly Hills one doesn’t need a special occasion to celebrate baubles. And on Monday, Hollywood luminaries turned out en masse at the Cartier boutique on Rodeo Drive to mark the jeweler’s 25th anniversary in this hamlet of privilege.

Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie may bear grudges against Paris Hilton, but Nicky Hilton is OK in their book; the three women came to the party together in the same car, and giggled the night away. Paris, the Hilton sister, was reportedly in Paris, the French capital.

Maybe happy couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi was scouting out new rings at the bash while Sheryl Crow, Laurence Fishburne, Kristin Davis, Debra Messing, Wilmer Valerrama and Jacqueline Bisset looked on. There were even some Kennedys in the house - Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. brought his family - but we were disappointed that Kennedy-by-marriage Arnold Schwarzenegger missed the soiree.
