Anaheim, CA, May 4-5 – Gosh, Disneyland, the iconic theme
park, is now fifty years old, and they kicked off an eighteen-month
celebration this week in high style, splashing gold all over the
park as a mark of this momentous anniversary. We’re big fans
of the home of Mickey Mouse and
friends, and after a couple of days there, we’re sick of the
lovable cartoon characters. But there was a seemingly endless supply
of celebs, many with ties to Disney, like Christina Aguilera,
who sang in Mulan, Julie Andrews, who
played Mary Poppins, and Steve Martin,
Sean Astin, Garth Brooks, John
Stamos and Kelsey Grammer, whose relationships
to the mouse house we couldn’t keep track of. One welcome
amenity at the press preview day on Wednesday: no lines for our
favorite rides.
