New York, October 15 – Filmmaker Todd Solondz’s (Welcome to the Dollhouse, Happiness) newest dysfunctional family portrait, Palindromes, premiered as part of the New York Film Festival. Where was Ellen Barkin’s husband, zillionaire Revlon mogul Ron Perelman? An awkward, “He’s not here”, was all the notoriously press-averse star of the film offered. Barkin’s first husband, Gabriel Byrne, did come out to support her.
