Los
Angeles, March 20 - It was a busy day in Los Angeles. A musical
contingent including Canadian popsters Simple Plan, British
R&B sensation Big Brovaz and American Idol’s Ruben
Studdard turned out for the premiere of Scooby
Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. The film’s stars husband
and wife Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Sarah
Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard,
Alicia Siverstone, Linda Cardellini
and Peter Boyle were greeted by lots of tots
getting a preview before Friday’s opening.
Studdard had to
make a quick change, because he had to get over to the L.A.
International Cultural Center Theater, where he and Usher,
Nelly, Michelle Williams,
Jermaine Dupri and others performed at the
2004 Soul Train Music Awards. R. Kelly, Janet
Jackson, Outkast and Beyonce Knowles
were honored this year. Judging by her very revealing dress,
Ms. Jackson apparently hasn’t been humbled by her Super
Bowl boobgate. Later, at Morton’s, Jackson wore jeans
to a party in her honor where guests included her brother
Jermaine Jackson and actresses Lindsay
Lohan and Vivica A. Fox.
