February 3 – Liv Tyler and her husband Royston Langdon, Debra Winger and actor hubby Arliss Howard, legendary musician Gato Barbieri, Art Garfunkel (freshly busted for smoking pot in his limo), director Jonathan Demme and artist Anh Duong came out on a stormy night for the premier of Bernardo Betolucci’s new film, The Dreamers. The film’s star, young actor Michael Pitt, who chain-smoked throughout the evening, showed us his t-shirt bearing the slogan, “An orgasm is better than a bomb - Bernardo Bertolucci”.

After the movie started, we went outside of the theater, when an ambulance pulled up and we were strong-armed out of the way by security, and told not to shoot photos (oops). Oscar-winning actress Celeste Holme was wheeled out on a stretcher, and put into the ambulance. The film went on, and guests seemed unaware that anything had happened. They did say that The Dreamers is very sexually graphic (darn, we should have stayed). These kids today - first Sunday’s Superbowl boob-baring and then this, must have been too much for the 85-year-old Holme.
