July 16 – Young pretty things turned out for the premiere of How to Deal, singer- turned-actress Mandy Moore’s new film. Moore’s beau, tennis ace Andy Roddick, Olympic gold medal-winning figure skater Sarah Hughes, President Bush’s niece and fashion model Lauren Bush and designer Jill Stuart joined cast members Moore, Trent Ford, Allison Janney and Alexandra Holden.

Older and wiser wiseguys prevailed at the premiere of mob heist movie This Thing of Ours. Writer/producer/director/star Danny Provenzano used his, er, influence to get Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Edward Lynch, Chuck Zito (Oz), Pat Cooper and James Caan to appear in the flick. Aerosmith did the soundtrack, and band members Brad Whitford, who has a cameo in the film, and Steven Tyler were, um, persuaded to attend the premiere. At the after party at China Club, star Frank Vincent jammed on drums with the band The Porch Ghouls.
