23 – Singer Jessica Simpson, Kelly
Rowland of Destiny’s Child and actress Ali
Landry showed us their bras! Sort of. The three joined
US Weekly magazine in hosting the “Hooking
Up” party at the intimate lounge Serena. The reception
featured an exhibition of the stars’ photographs of
Lovable Bras, which will benefit a variety of charities.
Not far away, Entertainment Weekly magazine celebrated
its second annual “It List ” issue with a bash
at mega-club Roxy. “It” types like rockers the
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, singers Rufus Wainwright
and Vanessa Carlton, actors Ian Somerholder,
Alan Cumming, That 70s Show's Danny
Masterson,
The Sopranos' Robert Iler, Lou
Diamond Phillips and a bunch of others were chauffeured
to the event in environmentally correct Toyota Prius’.
Pssst – you didn’t hear it from us, but the ladies
at the US Weekly party later hopped over to the EW
party.
Earlier, Arnold Schwarzenegger turned up
for the opening of the new Audemars Piguet boutique, where
he auctioned off some of his movie memorabilia to benefit
The Inner City Games Foundation, which provides after school
activities to inner city children. Arnold said that when he
was a kid, his parents were always around to help with homework,
and his father was always available for coaching. That gave
him the confidence to succeed, and he wants to help other
children to get that kind of great foundation. Audemars Piguet
produced the new limited edition Terminator 3 Chronograph,
so you can get one for yourself or see Arnold wearing his
in the film, opening July 2.
