June 17 – We always loved those Saturday morning cartoon shows starring Michelle Pfeiffer! Just kidding. The beautiful Pfeiffer, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joseph Fiennes, Brad Pitt and Dennis Haysbert (Far from Heaven) all do voices in the new animated film Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas. Zeta-Jones is still, ah, voluptuous, after the recent birth of daughter Carys. Dream Works honcho Jeffrey Katzenberg was on hand for the premiere, but darn it, Brad Pitt wasn’t.

Sex and The City costume designer Patricia Field uses it to pull on her cowboy boots. David Dalrymple, who designs Field’s clothing line, made a few jokes, and then said, seriously, he uses it to loosen stuck zippers. Fashion designer Betsey Johnson uses it in her hair, “really, I do”, she said. They’re talking about K-Y brand lubricants, which manufacturer Johnson & Johnson is trying to promote for a wider range of uses. To that end, Ms. Field has edited a book called Modern Girls Guide – Everyday Uses for K-Y, with the best suggestions from well known personalities.
