February 24 - America,
Ali G is in da house. British comedian Sacha Baron
Cohen's wildly popular Ali G Show will be unleashed
on HBO starting this month. In the UK, the faux rapper has
put high profile guests like former Democratic presidential
candidate Michael Dukakis and right-wing former Speaker
of the House Newt Gingrich on the spot. Ali asked astronaut
Buzz Aldrin, "So what was it like to walk on the sun?"
Actor Alan Cumming, magician David Blaine and
writer Salman Rushdie came out for HBO's sneak preview
at club Lot 61. The buzz is that if the TV show is successful
with American audiences, Ali G's 2002 film, Ali G Indahouse,
will be released stateside. In the movie, Ali brings bling
bling to the Houses of Parliament.
