October 17 - On a stormy evening, we got wind of a little party at fashion designer Donna Karan's Madison Avenue boutique. The evening celebrated both Vanity Fair's "In Concert" Series benefiting Step Up Women's Network, and the launch of new fragrance Donna Karan Black Cashmere. The guest list shimmered with actors Anjelica Huston, Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor, Brooke Shields, young "it" couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, Natalie Portman, Broadway's Bernadette Peters and comedian Sandra Bernhard. The luxury shop was turned into a nightclub with Paul Sevigny on the turntables. Yes, the merchandise was cleared away so we could safely slosh champagne.
